
To celebrate PSU’s commitment to service and embody our institutional motto, Ut Prosim, PSU is hosting a Day of Service on Friday, September 28th. The day will provide an enriching opportunity that brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners through active citizenship for the state of New Hampshire.
We have many sites available throughout the day, and transportation will be provided to all locations. Students, staff, faculty, and alumni are all encouraged to sign up and participate in this community wide event!

DACRES

Project Details: Join the Team at DAcres to help prep for the growing season. DAcres is a not-for-profit Permaculture Farm and Educational Homestead located in Dorchester, NH. The Mission of the organization is to function as an educational center that researches, applies and teaches skills of sustainable living and small-scale organic farming. Volunteers will work on various projects around the farm including fence building, moving manure, hauling brush, and gardening.

CIRCLE CAMP

PEMI YOUTH CENTER

Project Details: Painting, organizing, and cleaning the youth center. The PYC is forever grateful for anyone who wishes to spend their time helping make the youth center the best it can be.
Transportation Details: The Pemi Youth Center is located at 111 Main Street in Plymouth, right across the street from campus. Transportation will not be provided for this site.
FISH SAMPLING WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE FISH AND GAME

Project Details: Assist NH Fish and Game sample Brook trout in nearby watershed undergoing restoration. This includes netting fish and carrying buckets of water containing fish to weight stations.

SYCAMORE COMMUNITY GARDEN

Project Details: Sycamore Community Garden (serving refugees in Concord NH). Students will assist with end-of-season work such as planting cover crops, removing plants, filling in groundhog holes, and other light physical work. Students will also be able to learn about the garden’s goals of reducing food insecurity and increasing cultural connections between refugees and the wider community. Tools will be provided. Work clothes, sunscreen, and insect repellent recommended.
